MOSCOW, Aug 24 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Internet company Mail.Ru Group, and Chinese giant Alibaba are discussing creation of a joint venture in Russia, a source familiar with the talks told PRIME on Friday.
“I confirm the fact of negotiations,” the source said.
RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev said in January that the fund would soon announce joint investment with Alibaba in logistic infrastructure of the Runet, the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet.
The RDIF also plans to invest in several Russian Internet portals to expand their activities abroad.
